Kelley's Chronicle
Meet the Teacher - Welcome to 4th Grade!
I hope you've had a well-rested summer because you are in for a tremendous school year!
Another passion of mine is reading! I read Maxi's Secret's over the summer and fell in love with it. If reading isn't your favorite thing in the whole wide world, I'm going to work my hardest to find books that you have interest in and will enjoy reading. Reading is magical and can take you places you've never been before. You have to find the right book for you!
My husband, Mr. Kelley, and I have one son named Lennox. We like to call him Nox for short. He is almost 9 months old and attempting to talk. Can you believe you were that small once too? We also have two dogs, Rosie (a 16 pound Schnoodle who loves attention) and Stallone (our big Rottweiler with a soft heart). You'll hear many stories about these two trouble makers at my house.
Fourth grade is THE best year of school. We will learn so much information in lots of different ways. I don't know about you, but I sure don't like being bored, so we will share experiences, move around the room, talk about and solve real-life problems, play at recess, become amazing readers, sing silly songs, publish a book, laugh every day, write a speech, etc. You name it; we will accomplish it in 4th grade.
Take a few minutes to check out our weekly update page, called The Kelley's Chronicle. This is a great way for you and your parents to keep organized and up to date with what we are doing in school. The newsletter is updated every week on Tuesdays.
Get a good night sleep and brush up on those multiplication facts! I'll see you tomorrow morning, Thursday August 10th, for the first day of 4th grade.
Love, Mrs. Kelley
Parents:
Please bookmark this newsletter site and our class website for many links we'll use over the course of the school year.
If you don't already have a Home Access Center (HAC) account, please make sure to visit the HAC information page to check grades weekly. This will be critical this school year.
In order to keep our campus safe for our students, you (or any family member that wishes to set foot on campus) need to have visitor clearance. Please fill out the application ASAP at:
