DOOLEY CENTER........................FRASER PUBLIC SCHOOLS
March 2022
MARCH IS READING MONTH!
Reading to your child is the single most important thing you can do to promote early literacy skills. March is a great time to recommit to sharing daily literacy activities with the little ones in your life!
Registration for all tuition based 2022/2023 programs is now open!
Current Dooley families, please follow the steps below to register for tuition preschool and Early Childhood Care. You will be notified of the teacher assignment before school begins. We cannot guarantee teacher requests.
All registrations will be pending until both steps are complete
Step 1. Schedule an appointment to review and sign registration paperwork provided from the Dooley office (if in a current 3year old Dooley program). Click here to schedule an appointment.
New students would have to complete all of the new enrollment paperwork and sign up for a registration time.
Step 2. Register with the Little Learners Dooley Center bookkeeping department.
Starting March 10th, current Dooley families in the 3 year old program can go into their current account online and create a new account for the 4yr. old program. Please let us know if you are a current Dooley family wanting to register for 3 yr. old preschool and will need the link to register early.
Open registration for new families will start March 15th.
If you have any problems registering online, please call:
Bookkeeper-(586) 439-7038

Step 3. Review our Little Learners Handbook
Little Learners Handbook can be found online or is available in our office to view.
Updating Information:
You can make a change in your Eleyo account (billing account) but this information is stored with the bookkeeper. You must also make sure the school is aware of any changes.
Thank you!
Is your child missing their gloves, hat, jacket or mask? We have a Lost & Found located on the side of our office. Please come to the office and ask to take a look for missing items.

Help Your Child Succeed in School: Build the Habit of Good Attendance Early!
• Starting in preschool and kindergarten, too many absences can cause children to fall behind in school.
• Missing 10%, or about 2 days each month over the course of a school year, can make it harder to learn to read.
• Students can still fall behind if they miss just one or two days every few weeks.
• Being late to school may lead to poor attendance.
• Absences and tardiness can affect the whole classroom if the teacher has to slow down learning to help children catch up.
Attending school regularly helps children feel better about school—and themselves. Start building this habit in preschool so they learn right away that going to school on time, every day is important. Eventually good attendance will be a skill that will help them succeed in high school and college

Please supply a change of Clothes!
Please make sure that your child has an extra set of clothes that are season appropriate and fit them properly. If we don't have something for your child to wear, we may need to call you to come drop some clothes off.
Keeping Illness Out of School
Community spread of Covid-19 is dropping but there are many other contagious illnesses going around this time of year, too. PLEASE continue to keep your child at home if he/she has any sign of illness until the cause has been identified by a medical professional. This includes seemingly minor symptoms like a stuffy nose or tickle in the throat. Please do not assume it's "just a cold" or "just allergies." We will send symptomatic students home.
Please remember that aside from Covid-19, many other illnesses are also contagious, so students who are sick should not be at school with colds, Strep throat, the flu, or stomach bugs either.
***Remember, the best way to do YOUR PART to help keep our community healthy and in school teaching and learning is to keep children with any potential sign of illness at home until the cause is determined by a medical professional.***
