He is also featured in the April, 2018 edition of AMLE's magazine with the post, "The Grief of Accepting New Ideas." It poses the question: "Changes in school or classroom practices unleash a variety of emotions. How can we support each other in the process?"
Great Sources of Inspiration: Blogs
We are still updating our website after the migration to Blackboard, and are revamping the "Resources" tab. We would love to highlight member blogs as well as sites and materials you find helpful. Please send any suggestions to Susie Highley or use this form.
To get things started, we have Jessica Moman's blog, "Teaching Middle School Language Arts with Love, Laughter, and Lots of Sparkle." We were going to feature her post "Inferencing: It's Part of the Plan" in our newsletter, but decided it was better to share the entire blog. Jessica teaches at River Valley Middle School in Greater Clark County Schools.
- "When we think about learning, we typically focus on getting information into students’ heads. What if, instead, we focus on getting information out of students’ heads?"
