What does 'disability' mean?

Disability means that 'a physical or mental handicap, especially one that prevents a person from living a full, normal life or from holding a gainful job'.

Physical means 'relating to the body as opposed to the mind'.

Mental handicap is a phrase and means 'a condition of a person's intelligence capacity is underdeveloped'


Gainful mean 'useful'.

Maya Wang says children with disabilities are being pushed out of schools despite Chinese laws mandating universal education, and such discrimination persists through to university.
