The Blueprint
Boonsboro Middle School Staff 11/30/18
We Are Blessed!
I know we have challenging students and students who have gaps in their learning. I know there are so many factors we have no control over that make all of our jobs harder each day, but I also know that we have the perfect combination of community support and talented staff to be able to overcome those obstacles in order to achieve at high levels.
True story: On Thursday, an 8th grade student stopped me in the hallway EXTREMELY excited to show me her latest lexile score. Her score was in the 600's at the end of last year (which I actually remember being huge growth for her), but is now in the 900's!!! For whatever reason, she didn't learn to read in elementary school, but here at Boonsboro Middle School she has just about caught up to grade level expectations. Not only that, but her self-confidence has soared, which is going to take her further in life than any test score.
That is the kind of achievement that happens here. We are blessed.
