Deb’s Dogs is a non-profit 501-c-3 organization. They depend on donations and adoption fees to fund the animals vet care. The animals may have been neglected, abused or injured. Once they are taken, the dogs then go to the vet for a complete checkup. If they are healthy enough at this time, they are vaccinated and spayed or neutered. Deb’s Dogs works with Oakwood Correctional Facility and their Dog Harbor.

OSU-Lima Departments of Theatre and Music presents: RENT

OSU-Lima Departments of Theatre and Music will be presenting the high-energy 90’s rock musical, RENT, with book, music and lyrics by Jonathan Larson, on April 7-10th, 2016. This year marks the 20th anniversary of this much-loved musical. RENT is the story of one year in the life of 8 friends living on the lower East Side of Manhattan during the “end of the millennium”, struggling with their art/work, relationships, gentrification, addictions and H.I.V/AIDS (Larson himself had 3 close friends die of AIDS before the play ever opened). A huge hit both on and off Broadway, this musical struck a chord with young people everywhere, depicting characters navigating their own paths through life, seeking to live authentically and with purpose and seeking “connection in an isolating age”. Although the play deals with some serious themes, it is ultimately a celebration of life, love and art. Larson, who died of an aortic aneurysm days before the play previewed Off-Broadway, wrote of RENT – “Despite everything – humanness, love, life, art – survives.”
