Coyote Howler

January 10, 2021

Dear Kincaid Families,

Happy New Year Coyotes! We are so excited to be welcoming our students from our special education intensive needs programs as well as kindergarten, first, and second grades back into our building starting on January 19th.

As we prepare for our students, it is important for us to know how many students to expect in class. Thank you to many families for filling out the survey that went out before the winter break. If you did not have a chance to fill out the survey, please take a minute to do so. It is very brief and lets us know if you plan to send your child back to school or not. Parent Survey

I will be hosting a parent meeting to review our Re-Entry plan. Please join me on Tuesday, January 12 @ 6:00 pm. The Zoom Link for this meeting is:

Top Coyote

Congratulations to Nancy Wilson! You have been nominated as our Top Coyote for the month of January!

Here is what one of your colleagues has to say about you! "Nancy is so helpful! I rely on her every week to help keep me organized and on track. She is flexible and and patient in teaching me how to use strategies that really work with my students! She also helps me use the technology that is required during covid."

Nancy is our Instructional Coach and one of our Canvas Champions. She is dedicated to both Girdwood and Kincaid. We are very fortunate to benefit from her expertise. She helps organize our benchmark assessments and data meetings. Thank you Nancy for all the time you give to Kincaid even when you are not assigned to us! We could not do it without you!"

Re-Entry Mitigation Plans

Parent Drop-off and Pick-up

  • The Caravelle entrance is only used for parent parking. If you choose to park, you must walk your child safely through the parking lot and escort your child through the cross walk.
  • The Raspberry Entrance: Stay on the right hand side for the drop-off and pick-up line. Remain in the left lane to enter the parking lot.
  • Please be patient for parking spaces at the end of the day. DO NOT park along curb. Only park in designated areas. This will help keep the flow of traffic moving smoothly and will help us keep everyone safe at the end of the day.
  • Children May NOT enter the parking lot without an escort from an adult. If you park, please walk to the parent pick-up area by the cones.
