Labor Day

We hope that you are having a WONDERFUL Labor Day!

E-SPLOST on the Nov. 3 ballot

On Nov. 3, Gwinnett County voters will be asked to extend the special purpose local option sales tax for education (E-SPLOST). Over the years, the E-SPLOST has funded educational capital projects that have benefited all students in Gwinnett County. It is important for Gwinnett citizens to be aware of the E-SPLOST and the district's plan for meeting the classroom and technology needs of Gwinnett's growing student enrollment. Learn more

CogAT Testing

We will have our CogAt (Cognitive Abilities Test) on September 16th, 17th, and 18th for

grades 1, 2, and 5.

Remember....

  • No checking out of students who are testing, during testing.
(Testing should be finished by 12:00 each day, but may run longer)
  • Have your student get plenty of sleep, eat a hearty breakfast, and arrive to school on time.

Calling LCES Dads!

Dads, we need your help! We would like to create an All Pro Dad's club at Level Creek. Our goal is to start the club in January. We would like a few dads who are interested in starting our chapter of the club. This is a completely dad-run club and will be very popular with our kiddos. We will send our club leader dads to a few other schools which already have this program to see what it looks like with the goal of starting our chapter in January.

If you are interested in serving on the leadership core of this club, please email Tina Brocksmith.

If you want to know more about All-Pro Dads view the video below or visit the website (it is a great dad resource) www.allprodad.com.

Reflections

Be Part of PTA's Reflections Program- the World Needs to Know Your Inner Artist!

Our theme this year is "Let Your Imagination Fly"

No experience is required to participate in Reflections! Entries from all grades and all abilities welcome! You can enter as many categories as you want and as many times as you want. Only new pieces of artwork inspired by the theme may be submitted.

Designed to enhance rather than replace our quality arts education, the Reflections Program provides opportunities for students to express themselves and to receive positive recognition for their artistic efforts.

All children are encouraged to pursue artistic expression through participation in our annual arts Reflections Program. The program offers students the opportunity to create works of art for fun and recognition. Students must adhere to the General Student Participation Rules as well as the rules for their specific arts area (see below).

Students at each grade level are encouraged to create and submit works of art in six areas.

  • literature
  • musical composition
  • photography
  • visual arts
  • dance choreography
  • film/video production
