  • It helps prepare students for college level courses.
  • Get ahead!

Are there requirements for my student to sign up for dual credit classes?

Yes. For all juniors and seniors there is a minimum GPA requirement of 2.5 for all students. There are also specific ACT/Compass requirements for each course.

For sophomores, students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. They must also obtain a letter of recommendation from a counselor or principal. All ACT requirements for the courses still apply.

For freshman to take a dual credit class they must score in the 90th percentile of their graduating class on the ACT. They must also receive a letter of recommendation from their principal and counselor. See your counselor for more information if this might apply to you.
