December Teacher Appreciation--Happy Holidays to everyone! This month we would love to treat our teachers to a cookie walk and lunch! Mr. Maness is taking care of the main course! We will be helping with salad and dessert! We are also planning a cookie walk for every teacher to take home a dozen cookies! We would love different varieties of cookies! Think family favorites that you and your family enjoy each year. We are requesting that all cookies be homemade or bakery bought only please. We will need all hands on deck this month, so all grades are included! Thank you so much for your efforts to treat our staff Cherry Park! All items should be dropped off in the office no later than 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 21st. Please see sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0D49A4A923AAFBC70-december1
Scholastic Book Fair Information--DEC 13-20 during school.
It’s back! This year the book fair will be in person and online. K-2 students will shop during their Media Related Arts time. 3-5 teachers will have options for signing up for a class time during the week. Parents are encouraged to use the E-Wallet for convenience. You can click on the following link for more information: https://www.scholastic.com/bf/cherryparkelementary2
Spirit Wear--Orders are filled and are in. You have two choices for how items can go home given that it is the holiday season. 1. Pick Up Order at School--Parents can come to the office and pick up their orders starting tomorrow, Thursday, December 9 through next Wednesday, December 15. (You may want this to be a surprise for your child.) You can pick them up between 7:15 AM and 5:45 PM on those days. 2. Orders Go Home with Your Child--For any orders not picked up by the end of the day next Wednesday, those will be sent home with students next Thursday and Friday, December 16-17 (unless you make other arrangements with the office.) If you have any questions about your order, please do not call the office but contact Mrs. Neal by email: mailto:aneal@rhmail.org This way, she can keep track of any requests.
COVID Reminder--We are seeing an increase in the Covid-19 cases throughout the district. Please continue to monitor your children for symptoms of COVID. These symptoms include a new or worsening cough, fever, loss of taste or smell, congestion, sore throat, body aches, etc. Please do not send your child to school sick. If your student has COVID symptoms, which unfortunately are very similar to the common cold, they will be sent to the school nurse and the nurse will call for you to pick your child up. Please refer to the Covid-19 information on the RHSD website and contact the COVID call center with questions, 803-980-2016. You can also click on the COVID Call Center button below for more information.
