Dear Worthington Park Families,
What a wonderful week here at Worthington Park. Even though the week was shortened due to the Holiday Weekend, we were ecstatic to welcome our Sharks to school for four productive days. On Wednesday of this week, our Board of Education met to amend our current masking mandates and move from mandatory masking for all students and adults. Our new mandate states that masking is strongly encouraged for all those who enter Worthington Schools. However, this will be a decision for each of your households moving forward.
Please remind your students that if they ride a bus to school- they will need to continue wearing a mask to and from school. For more information, please read this flyer here. Have a wonderful and safe weekend! Please take a few minutes to review the information below and GO SHARKS!

Skate Zone 71 Fundraiser Tonight!
When: Friday, February 25th
Where: Skate Zone 71
Time: 5 pm - 9 pm
Cost: $2 admission $4 skate rental
Proceeds from the event go to supporting the Worthington Park Parent Teacher Association and your students!

Read Across America Week 2/28-3/4
It is that time of year again! Worthington Elementary Schools are gearing up to celebrate Read Across America Week. Read Across America Week is an annual celebration of all things reading where teachers, librarians, educators, and families celebrate the power of books and build awareness around programs that support students from all communities.
At Worthington Park, we will celebrate Read Across America with a different theme each day during the week of February 28th. Please see the attached flyer if your child would like to participate.

What: 6th Grade Orientation
When: Tuesday, March 1st, 7-8:30 pm
Where: Worthingway Middle School (we will start in the school gym)
The Worthingway Middle School Staff is excited to welcome our incoming Cardinals!! Please join us on Tuesday, 3/1 from 7-8:30 pm. We will have a brief introduction in the Worthingway gym. From there, families and students will be able to tour Worthingway, meet teachers, and ask questions. We look forward to seeing you on March 1st!

If your family lives in Perry Middle School's attendance area (Slate Hill Home School) your child is set to attend Perry Middle School next Fall. Perry is also having an open house on March 1st. Please join Mrs. Robertson-Perry Principal & the staff as we welcome the next class of Wolves to Perry!

Dr. Bowers and the Worthington Board of Education invite you to join us for the Worthington State of the Schools Event. This is a great opportunity to hear about all of the amazing things happening in Worthington Schools.

Special Education Parent Key Communicator
Worthington’s Special Education Key Communicator Committee strives to build positive, productive, and collaborative relationships and partnerships amongst the educators and community of families whose children receive special education and related services. We will engage in two-way communication, with the goal being to provide a circle of influence where we can share out and learn from and with each other.
The key communicator will convey information from their building to the committee, as well as information from the committee to their buildings
The Key Communicator for our building is Mrs. Jessica Dumas
