Kindness Campaign

Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!
We will be celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday week with "Read Across America" Literacy Spirit Week. Information about dress up days came home this week and is posted on Class Dojo. We will also have a birthday party for Dr. Seuss the evening of March 1st for our K-2 students. Please come join us for an evening of fun!
Plastic Bags Needed!
In art class, 3rd and 4th grade students will be creating plarn with is yarn made from plastic bags. We will then create a “blanket”/ mat that will be donated to one of the community centers. If you have any unwanted plastic bags, please have your child bring them to the art room. Thanks!

The 4th graders and the 3rd and 4th grade choir did an amazing job performing their musical, "On Safari". We are so proud of them!

Attention Parents of current Second, Third, and Fourth Grade Students:
• Recommendations for the Pinnacle Program for elementary gifted/talented students for the upcoming school year are now being accepted. Deadline to nominate is Wednesday, Feb. 21st.
• Parents or guardians who wish to recommend their second, third, and fourth grade children for the G/T program should review all their child’s available standardized test scores, their level of motivation for schoolwork, and their level of creativity before making the decision to recommend.
o Parents or guardians planning to recommend their child for G/T should request a referral packet from their building G. T. Teacher – duranl@conwayschools.net
o The referral packet will be sent home with students: Thursday, Feb. 22nd.
o The referral forms completed by parents or guardians must be returned to the G/T Teacher no later than Wednesday, February 28.
There will be a parent meeting on Monday, February 26, at 6:00pm in the HS Lecture Hall located in the HS down the hall to your right to explain the testing and placement process.
