Library Happenings - First Quarter

Welcome Back!

The beginning of the year is always so exciting! It is one of my favorite times because of all the new books I can share with students! Students are allowed to check out as many books as the grade they are in, for example, 3rd grade students can take 3 books. The loan period for our books is one week and students may not check out books until they have returned previously checked out books.

782 books were checked out of our library during the first quarter!

Some Exciting News!

We all participated in the International Dot Day on September 15th ish.

Second grade
students celebrated the First Annual International Ivy and Bean day! We read Ivy and Bean Make the Rules and skyped with our new friends in Chile about camping!

Fifth grade students read Bigger than a Breadbox by Laurel Snyder. We even skyped with her to hear about her life as a writer!

Sixth grade students have been reading Wonder by R.J. Palicio and we took the pledge to Choose Kind.
