McIntire Elementary School
Mission: High Levels of Learning for ALL!
Hornet Pride Notes = Positive Office Referrals
SWPBS includes universal management strategies designed to meet the needs of all students and develop a common language and focus for all school staff, students, families, and community members. Universal strategies are designed to be implemented consistently and efficiently across all school settings. This includes teaching specific behaviors or social skills that will lead to success in school, providing frequent positive reinforcement for expected behavior, consistently addressing social errors, and arranging teaching and learning environments to ensure success for all.
At McIntire, students earn Hornet Pride Notes when they are going above and beyond being safe, respectful, and responsible. Hornet Pride Notes are positive office referrals linked to a positive call home. Each McIntire staff member can give these referrals. Students bring their positive referrals to the office and Mrs. James or Mrs. Crane will contact parent/guardian with the student present in the office or we post a photo to FaceBook. The looks on student's faces are priceless and it's fun to hear families tell their kiddos how proud they make them
Ask your child....
Kindergarten - what numbers they found in their classrooms and in McIntire School
1st grade - what they are doing to be great listeners
2nd grade - how long is their class reading stamina
3rd grade - if they have filled someone's bucket or if someone has filled their's
4th grade - to tell you about our new teachers at McIntire
5th grade - if they can find the area of a room in your house

~ Arrival and Dismissal~
Thank you for being patient and helping us through arrival and dismissal. It takes time, teamwork, and patience to get close to 400 students in and out of the building each day. School begins at 8:05 and we begin dismissal at 3:20.
Please remember students who are dropped off by parents or who walk to school should arrive between 7:45 am and 8:00 am. There is no supervision before 7:45 am. Please notify Debbie and Julia in the McIntire office of any dismissal changes early in the day. Frequent changes and changes after 2:30 can cause confusion for students and staff. 590-8500
Fulton has a before and after-school childcare program (BAC-PAC) for students who need to arrive before 7:45 am. Please call Julie Bell at 590-8080 if you would like to enroll your child in the BAC-PAC program.
