Tanana Tasty Tidbits Goes Virtual!
In Family Consumer Science, students learn about how to be happy & healthy. Last week, Ms.McFarland showed her students how to prepare moose stew LIVE in class. By using three separate cameras to record, students were able to see the entire process. Take a quick look at the cooking show set up by clicking the link below! Tanana staff members thoroughly enjoyed the results of this lesson!!
Student Spotlight
Congratulations! Matthew Kallash was selected as our November Music Student of the Month. This award is sponsored by Music Mart and IHEART Media stations. He was recommended by his music teacher, Ms. Anderson!
Matthew will be featured in radio spots on IHEART Media stations for the month of November!
Matthew Kallash is an 8th grade student at Tanana Middle School! Matthew has gone above and beyond what I have asked him to do this quarter. Not only is he in Band he is also in Orchestra and doing the assignments for both! When he has the option to play me one of three etudes, he plays all three. He is a natural leader in sectionals over zoom and has helped be my guinea pig on zoom with trouble shooting problems. Music comes very natural to Matthew and has a very high level of understanding in music theory. His composition has proven this with this chords, leading tones, an movement outside of the key signature. I am so lucky that I get to teach and learn from such a great student!"
