ICCS Mission Statement:
PRINCIPAL'S CORNER
As hard as it is to believe, at this time of the year we begin transitioning to thinking about plans for next school year. At our Cognia workday last Friday, our teachers worked in their Professional Learning Community (PLC) teams to take a closer look at data and began brainstorming about improvements for the next school year. Over the past two years, so many things have changed in the world of education, and it feels like they did so at lightning speed. As I have said before, our faculty and staff have continued to rise to the occasion of meeting the ever-changing new demands we face. We do this together as a team, an exceptionally high functioning team, with the collective goal of educating ICCS students in a manner that shows continued growth in excellence.
As we all move from moment to moment in this ever-changing world, it is important that I update you on the new Diocese of Lake Charles - Office of Catholic Schools Covid Quarantining Guidelines.
- Employees and students with positive, symptomatic cases of Covid should remain quarantined for the current 5 day period.
- If an employee or student has symptoms but no test results, they should remain home until they are symptom-free.
- Those who have been exposed should be notified, but in the absence of symptoms, may either choose to quarantine out of caution or remain in school, masked for 5 days.
Thank you for continuing to work alongside us to evolve with the guidelines and for your understanding. ICCS will continue virtual learning options for positive cases as well as those quarantining out of caution.
Yours in Catholic education.

GO PANTHERS!
FEBRUARY VIRTUE OF THE MONTH: MAGNANAIMITY
This month, all PK-8th Grade students will begin working on the virtue of magnanimity.
Magnanimity means seeking with confidence to do great things in God. It literally means having a “large soul." Magnanimity looks like wanting to become a saint and asking Jesus to help you.
Dear Jesus,
Whenever I hear about the lives of the saints, I tend to think that I could never be like them. I forget that we are all called to be saints. Help me to desire to do great things for You. You are calling us all to do great things and the most important thing we are called to do is love! Give me the grace to love You and others more today. In this way, I am becoming the saint You want me to be. Amen.
