Where it strikes and on whom it strikes
After being bitten by a mosquito carrying malaria, a person will not notice. Malaria parasites multiply in a person's liver before invading red blood cells in the bloodstream. Once inside a person's red blood cells, the parasites continue to multiply and spread the infection. Infected red blood cells eventually rupture causing many problems. Malaria can effect anyone of any age, this disease is a threat to everyone.
Where can malaria be located?
Malaria is most commonly found in Africa, Asia, Indo Pacific region, Central and South Amarica. It is most common in tropical areas through out the world. This is not year rounf though, it normaly only occurs in high temperatures and with some water availability.
