GRATITUDE BOARD

Please fill out the Gratitude Sheet and send back to school. We would love to fill our board and see the many ways we are Grateful to God.

GUIDED READING PROGRAM

We will be getting a new Guided Reading program from Pioneer Valley Books called Literacy Footprints. We look forward to getting the program and start using it!

Literacy Footprints is a Guided Reading system designed for classroom teachers, intervention, ELL, Special Education teachers, and support staff who are teaching children to read and write. Each of the kits (kindergarten, first grade, second grade, third grade, fourth grade, fifth/sixth grade, and the Intervention Partner) contains sequenced, high-quality leveled texts in a variety of genres. Students will encounter traditional tales, realistic fiction, fantasy, and informational text. The lesson cards that accompany the books follow Jan Richardson’s “Next Step” lesson format (Richardson, 2009 and 2016.) Each lesson includes word study and phonics instruction based on The Next Step Forward in Word Study (Dufresne and Richardson 2019). Each kit also includes component materials designed by Jan Richardson and Michèle Dufresne to consistently support teachers throughout the lessons

3K/4K SURVEY

Holy Trinity Catholic School is looking into the possibility of offering the option of full day 3-year old and 4-year old kindergarten for the 2021-2022 school year. If you know of any families that have children with 3 or 4 year olds that might be interested in this, please feel free to forward the survey to them.

Thank you to those that completed the survey! More information will be available in February.

A NOTE FROM MRS. LONGDEN

As we come to Catholic Schools Week, I think it is important to thank everyone who makes our school possible. We are grateful to the parishioners of Holy Trinity and St. Michael for the support they provide and to Father Strand for his spiritual guidance. We thank our parents for their commitment to a faith-filled education for their children. We thank our faculty and staff for their dedication and care. We thank our students for the joy and enthusiasm they bring to school each day. And finally, we thank God for the many blessings he has bestowed upon us.

See the attached letter from Archbishop Listecki regarding Catholic Schools Week.

Thank you for all you do for Holy Trinity School!

Blessings,

Mrs. Longden
