Natures Classroom Update
6th grade students kicked off their Nature's Classroom fundraiser yesterday! 6th grade students will be selling Hilliards' candy bars at the cost of $2.50 per bar. Paperwork went home about this fundraiser with the students yesterday. Each student was sent home with 20 bars to sell. Thank you for your support with this fundraiser.
It is our goal that all students attend Nature's Classroom. If you have any concerns please contact us. It is our goal to make any accommodation necessary so all students attend. Finances should not prevent a student from attending. If there are any financial concerns they will be handled in a strictly confidential matter. Please contact Mr. Leeman. As a reminder payment number 1 was due October 11 and was $125. The second payment is due January 9 and is $125.

NURSE'S CORNER
When does my child need a doctor’s excuse?
Any injury that prohibits a student from functioning normally in the school setting must be medically addressed.
If your child has an injured ankle and can’t walk, injured shoulder and can’t move it, etc. they must be seen by their doctor to rule out a fracture or injury that could be aggravated by school.
If they hit their head and are having headaches, or dizzy spells, they should be seen by the doctor to rule out a concussion, etc.
If your child is assigned an air cast boot, crutches, scooter or a wheelchair, they must have a note from the doctor stating it is ok to be in school with them.
If your child reports to the health office and appears injured, you will be asked to pick them up and have them evaluated by a doctor. A note from the physician will be required in order for your child to return to school.
For all injuries, a medical note is required to excuse your child from physical education/recess. A note from the same physician is required to return your child to gym/sports/recess activities.
A doctor’s note is required for admittance to school after 5 consecutive absences
