Building Momentum...

Principal's Weekly Message

From The Principal's Desk...

CMS Families,

We are very excited to have student Cohorts A, B and C coming back into our school on Monday, March 15th. With that being said, we have set up the classrooms to comply with all social distancing limits, as well as having travel routes created throughout the school. We will be taking slow and steady steps forward. Additionally as I said last week, we will still have students begin moving within their respected teams. Some teams practiced this week, and it was a big hit. There is no doubt that teachers and kids are clamoring to get back to the old ways; we just need to place safety as our number one priority.

Student Movement

As for the drop off and pick up, please follow these guidelines, as I anticipate a larger volume of traffic:

Morning Drop Off: (7:35 - 7:45 am)

Continue to enter from the long driveway and follow the flow all the way down to the baseball field. The line will circle back up to the front of the school. We always keep buses and cars separate to create a free flow out of campus. We will move cars in and out as quickly as possible.

Afternoon Pick Up: (11:15 - 11:30 am)

Continue to enter from the long driveway and follow the flow all the way down to the baseball field. The line will circle back up to the front of the school. We always keep buses and cars separate to create a free flow out of campus. We will move cars in and out as quickly as possible. We will use two full rows of cars to expedite the movement of vehicles. Please have a sign with your child's name on it to show our teachers. Students will be dismissed directly to their parents.

Per the Commissioner of Education, MCAS testing has now been pushed off until May and June. I will be sending out a revised MCAS testing schedule very soon.

Wishing everyone a great weekend.

Yours in education,

Dean W. Packard, Principal
