Welcome Back Class of 2020-2021
Welcome back, scholars! I hope you were able to relax and enjoy your summer. My name is Mrs. Box-Barnes and I serve as your Media Center Paraprofessional. As we tackle the virtual learning environment, I am here to provide you with E-Resources that will aid in increasing your reading skills and interests. I believe this school year is going to be outstanding! Hopefully, we will reunite face to face soon. Please remember safety is key and ensure you are attending and staying actively engaged in your virtual courses.

AVOIDING COPYRIGHT ISSUES WITH READ ALOUDS

CLASS Pass (Connecting Libraries and Students for Success).
If you are an Atlanta Public Schools student you already have access to dozens of resources, including online databases, eBooks, eAudiobooks, streaming videos, as well as hundreds of thousands of books available at libraries throughout the city of Atlanta and Fulton County. If you are an APS student, all you need is your student username and your lunch code to get started.
Go to MyBackPack to access several E-Resources available to you.

TEACHERS and STUDENTS create your Hoopla Account Today!
To access the APS eBook shelf, Teachers/students should log into MyBackpack.
Log into MyBackpack and go to CLASS PASS. Scroll down and click on Employees/Student. Click on Hoopla Digital. Select the Sign-Up button in the top right corner. Use your school email address and create a password. Select Atlanta Fulton Public Library. Use your Lawson number as the Library Card number. Hoopla Requires the student to create a username and password using an email address (register an account) | Students should still use student username when prompted for the library card number.

Let us collectively reach 10 million minutes of reading by the end of the 2020-2021 school year by reading and logging your minutes in Beanstack.Parents, find your child’s school site below or login via their MyBackpack dashboard using the password race2read.
