Audubon Elementary School
February 2015 Newsletter
From the Principal's Desk
Hello and Happy Winter!
The season of cold and wet weather is upon us. Please be sure to refer to the district website under School Closings for any information about schedule changes when weather impacts us. A hardcopy of this information was also sent home with our kindergarten students in January. If you are not receiving phone calls or emails regarding changes to the schedule, please contact our office for assistance at 610-489-5000 ext. 42200.
Please keep in mind that we do send students out for recess whenever possible. Therefore, students should come prepared with hats, coats, and gloves for playing outside. We monitor the weather.com website for temperatures. When the real feel temperature is 30 or above students go out for the full 30 minute recess. Real feel temperatures between 20 and 29 degrees means students go out for 15 minutes of recess.
We have many fun events coming up in the next few weeks including the Variety Show, Science Fair and some exciting assemblies. Please be sure to check your child's folder for information that is sent home. We look forward to seeing you here at school!

News from the Nurse
Once again Audubon Elementary will help raise money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Our school will participate in the Pennies for Patients program from March 2nd to
March 20th. Please dig deep into your pockets and send in any extra money you may find to support this worthwhile cause. With your help, I know we will have another successful year.
Thank you for all you do!
Sincerely,
Pat Belyus
