Write for The Temple News Opinion Section!
The Temple News opinion section is an excellent place to get your writing published. We feature opinion-based columns about news and issues affecting Temple, Philadelphia, and the nation as a whole, while also publishing personal essays about students’ experiences, stories, and inspirations. Read some of our past stories here. We encourage students of all majors to get involved, and no prior journalism experience is required. Writers are hired on a freelance basis and get paid $10 for every story they write that gets published.
We have weekly section meetings every Tuesday at 5pm in the Howard Gittis Student Center Room 243, but you do not have to attend meetings to write for us. For more information, email the opinion editor, Tyler Perez, at tyler.perez@temple.edu.
