Principal's Weekly Newsletter
Hats off to our Leader in Me Lighthouse team for presenting the 8 habits at the CPTO meeting. I enjoyed hearing how students are putting the habits into action at home as well as at school. Practice the habits with our family learning BINGO game and return the sheet to school for an out-of-uniform pass. Family learning is an important part of the Leader in Me program, so that parents are able to reinforce the concepts students are learning at school.
FEBRUARY 17, 2022
Thank you to everyone who has given a gift to our Annual Appeal. We are happy to report that we have received $48,175 in cash donations as of today. We also have over 75 donations for our live and silent auctions that will be part of the Main Event celebration. Our school families, grandparents, parishioners, businesses, and individuals in the community have been so generous. Catholic School families really know how to come together and support their school., so I am hoping to see all of you at the Main Event on February 26. With your participation at the Main Event, we should be able to not only reach but exceed our $60,000 goal! Advance ticket sales close at noon on Tuesday, Feb. 22, but the committee would appreciate purchases as soon as you can.
The Strategic Planning Committee is in their third year of work. We have taken the results from our 2021 Customer Satisfaction, compiled data, and identified our strengths and weaknesses to establish goals for our school. You may have come across our Strategic Plan document on our homepage, but I am sharing it with you here today (below) to make sure everyone has the opportunity to review our plan.
Blessings,
Lynette Hackett
FAITH
What a heartwarming expression of their faith! Third and fourth graders each chose a word to put on a block to construct this cross. You could be the winning bidder who takes this beautiful piece home from the Main Event!
EXCELLENCE
Small group instruction makes such an impact on the academic success of our students. We truly meet our kids at their instructional level and help them soar!
SERVICE
Mr. Wheelan's students are working to complete their service learning project to help foster children. They raised over $1,400 through handwritten letters they sent to local businesses. On Tuesday, students went shopping for toys for the rooms where children and their biological parents meet each week. I hear the students have something else big yet to come this month!
