Happy Fall!
October is a busy month! There are College Fairs going on, college application periods are starting, and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) goes live on October 1st! All graduating students need to fill this out to be eligible for any federal and state financial aid, including the California Promise (2 years of free community college!) Whether you are looking to go to a college or technical/vocational school, don't miss out on free money!! I will be holding information sessions to guide you through the process. SCHOLARSHIP SPOTLIGHT- National College Match Program
Deadline: 9/28/2021
National College Match Program
Must have demonstrated academic excellence in the face of economic obstacles. Students of all races and ethnicities are encouraged to apply. Many past award recipients have been among the first generation in their families to attend college.
Deadline: 10/31/2020
Applicants should be committed to positive leadership in serving others while maintaining academic excellence.

Start date for FAFSA
Students who wish to be considered for federal financial aid for 2022 - 2023 must complete the FAFSA. Students will need a social security number, federal income tax returns, W2s, records of income and investments, and an electronic signature ID.

CSU applications open
Students who wish to apply to a CSU for Fall 2022 will need to complete an application. The CSU uses AG course completion and GPA to make admission decisions but has suspended the use of the SAT/ACT for Fall 2022. Each application costs $70.

Registration deadline for November 6, 2021 SAT
Students who wish to apply to 4-year colleges or universities that require a standardized exam (SAT or ACT) will need to register. The late registration deadline is October 26, 2021.
