I hope you are enjoying summer. Pretty soon the kids will be back in school and our thoughts will be turning to football and MOTM. It’s Buffett Month with Jimmy making his annual appearance on Aug. 20th in our area, Camden, NJ. I hope everyone that is going will have a fab time. If you want to be in the front lots, my suggestion is to go around 3pm, they usually open these lots at this time.

We’ve had a lot of fun with some really great live music and fantastic house concerts locally, Kelly McGuire, Rob Mehl, John Frinzi, Scott Kirby and Dave Edmiston & again in August Scott was joined by Emily Randle on violin. It really makes me think about KW when all of these guys come to town. Great news, there is still plenty more to see, check out fellow member Conchy Joe’s upcoming dates for some really great shows.

We had our 23rd Birthday Bash/Pool Party on July 26th. We had a great time, and we had some distinguished guest come to our party. Debby Derricks and Tim Williams, the Executive Director the Veterans Multi Center in Philadelphia. Tim spoke passionately about what they do for our local Veterans returning from their service. We had raffles, 50/50 and some really great food and we enjoyed everyone’s company. Beg, Borrow and Steel were fabulous again, they kept the energy of the party going all day. Thank you to everyone who helped out before or during the party, your contributions were greatly appreciated. We were able to make a donation of $300 to the Veterans Multi Center in Philadelphia with our party proceeds.

We have a couple of really terrific charity events coming up, so save the dates, and we can use your help with these. Oct 3rd is the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Cheering Station, we always have a wonderful time with this event. You will leave there smiling, it only takes a few hours and the walkers really appreciate our being there. We are also doing the CHOP/Buddy Walk for Down syndrome on Oct 4th, this is another really great event, and we will be setting up a fundraising page that you can direct your family and friends to help us and donate. I know these are back to back, so hopefully, you can make one or the other. This cause is near and dear to my heart, we will be donating in my nephew Michael Maguire’s name to help his team meet their goal and raise much needed funds for research.

SAVE THE DATE-Saturday, Dec 5th 6:30 pm for Our Annual Holiday Party at PJ Whelihan’s in Blue Bell, Pa. Details to follow.

If you're looking for a super tailgate to go to before Thursday's concert check out Tiki Mike's. Mike is a club member and is know to have the best tailgate's in town. Check him out on Facebook for location. But he'll probably be in the lot next to the Ben Franklin Bridge.
