Did you know that Charles Ellis Montessori Academy participates in a Farm to School grant?
Representatives from Savannah Victory Gardens as well as the SCCPSS Nutrition Department work with our students on a monthly basis. Students participate in program activities such as: gardening, farm visits, nutrition, local produce samples, and more. School garden activities encourage healthy eating, get children to try new foods, teach the fundamentals of good nutrition, connect children to the concept of growing seasons, promote healthy outdoor physical activity, and offer students the chance to participate in environmentally meaningful activities.
We need your help. Please complete the short care-giver survey to share your views on the importance of school nutrition and school gardening program. Thank you!
National School Nurse Day
Nurse Chris has served our faculty and students with the utmost care and professionalism throughout her career at Ellis. This year, especially, we want to say a giant THANK YOU to her for all that she has done to keep our community healthy and safe during the pandemic. She worked many long hours during the worst of it in order to ensure that all COVID-19 guidelines were followed correctly and contact tracing was completed with fidelity.
Thank you, Nurse Chris, for all you do for Ellis! We appreciate you.
All-City Choir Performance
Have a wonderful time, ladies! We know that you will represent our school well.

Online Book Fair
Thank you to everyone who supported our BOGO Book Fair last week! The proceeds from the fair will be used to purchase books for our beloved media center.
If your student still has a balance on their eWallet, you may use those funds to purchase books through the Ellis Book Fair website using the email address/password that you set up. The Ellis media center will receive 25% of all sales through this link until May 12th as a credit which we can use to purchase materials from Scholastic. All online orders ship directly to your home and will ship for FREE if you spend $25+.
The eWallet funds can also be carried over to our next Book Fair which will be in December 2022.
Media Center Books Due!
If your student has lost/damaged their media center book(s), you may either purchase a replacement copy (hardcover only, please!) or you may pay to have it replaced.
Overdue notices will be coming home this week for any outstanding books.
