Principal's Message

As the principal of Partee Elementary School, it is my pleasure to welcome everyone back to another great school year. Although the past few months have been unusual and a challenge for many, we certainly look forward to getting back to a regular schedule of seeing the students everyday.

This year the Shiloh Cluster theme is CONNECT. As a community of schools , we will be focused on building strong partnerships with our staff, students, families and the community. It is probably more critical now that we make sure we build those strong connections in order to support one another during these uncertain times. This cluster commitment reminds us that it takes ALL of us to make sure our students strive.

As you know, we will be returning to school digitally. I have spoken with many parents and teachers about how to make this format more user friendly for the students, parents and teachers. This year, you will notice that we have a consistent format across the grade levels and cluster. You will receive more information regarding accessing the digital content during Meet Your Teacher Day.

You will be receiving some important information in the mail soon. Please make sure to review those documents and schedule a time to meet with your child's teacher. The link to schedule a meeting will be on the website on Thursday, July 30, 2020.

I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to continue our partnership. I am looking forward to another AWESOME year!

Generals Salute,

Dr. McCain

School Visitors

  • Students, staff and visitors must wear a face mask when in the building.

  • School visits are limited to registration time; by appointment only.

  • The Visitors Management System (VMS), or “Buzz-in” system, will be used. ALL parents and other school visitors will be required to state the purpose of the visit before gaining access to the school building.

Safety and Security

The Gwinnett County School System has always taken the safety of its students very seriously. This year there are a few additions to the already existing procedures schools have in place.

  • Prior to entering a school, visitors will be asked about the purpose of their visit.
  • All volunteers must first check in and then will be escorted to our Parent Center were volunteer opportunities are coordinated.
  • Each school will have a safety committee comprised of staff and community representation, to review, monitor and create safety policies.
  • All visitors are required to check in and wear a visitor’s badge. Visitors will be asked to return to the front office if a staff member does not see the visitor’s badge.
  • All visitors must show county identification or a driver’s license.
  • Schools will continue to conduct fire, tornado, and soft and hard lock-down drills.

As schools become more diligent with student safety, we ask that families talk about and practice safety measures at home.

19-20 Year Books

The yearbooks from last school year have not arrive yet. The company was operating with a limited staff due to COVID-19. We hope to have them by Meet Your Teacher Day. Thank you for your patience.
