PARCC Resources
Here is a link to a doc that you can share with your students, so they can access important PARCC resources, as well.
If you are interested, check out this test preparation toolkit by Edmentum. It provides various test-taking tips and strategies for students.
Finally, if you were unable to attend one of the grade level PARCC sessions with me, please let me know, so we can work out a time to go over the tutorials and resources together.
Scholastic Book Wizard
Check out this wonderful tool to find books at the right reading level for your students. You can search by lexile measure, DRA, guided reading level, or grade level equivalent. This online database contains information on over 80,000 books!
Digital Scrapbook Project
Looking for another way to reach beyond the walls of your classroom? Join the Digital Scrapbook Project, and connect with schools from all around the world!
The Digital Scrapbook Project was started by a 6th grade teacher in Melbourne, Australia. It is a collaborative Google Slides presentation in which each participating class creates 2 slides to share where they are from.
Slide 1: Students share a summary of where they are located
Slide 2: Students collectively draw an image that represents where they are in place and time (see example below)
When the scrapbook is complete, the moderator will create and share an iBook with all of the participating classes.
If you are interested, please fill out this Google Form. Here is a link to the presentation in which to add your slides!
