1919 -1922
"The All-seeing eyes"
Daisy was a young lady who was put in tough times. She only wanted to love but in the end, all she remained was empty inside. Falling for two men, Daisy's inner conflictions got to the best of her. Her true love dead, forever tied to a man she doesn't see as faithful
Gatsby and Daisy
When Daisy met Gatsby, they instantly fell in love. Truely it was meant to be. Getting to know one another for 5 years. Talk about marriage and being together forever. When he left to war, his departure devastated her. Assuming he was dead, married another man.
Tom
That man, was Tom. A very classy man who Daisy met in between the time Gatsby had departed to war. She "fell in love" with Tom, and they married sooner or later. Now that Gatsby's back, Daisy had to decide would should be with Gatsby or Tom. Unfortunetely fate had other plans.
End.
Eventually, Gatsby learns of Daisy's true colors. She is rather selfish, and cannot decide what she considers "true love." She claims not to have loved Tom at all. Only that he had wealth and riches. At the same time, she does not want to leave Tom even though she claims to love Gatsby. Conflict ensues. In the end, she is left a hollow show. So much that she cant even speak to her Cousin Nick.
