We want to wish you all a very Happy Holiday Season and a Happy New Year! 2018 has been a wonderful year full of new classrooms, GRIT, and community involvement. We have so many great things going on thanks to a hard-working staff, enthusiastic students, and involved parents.

Take this winter break to rejuvenate and spend quality time with the ones you love! See you in 2019!

Big picture

King Tut Visit

On Friday, December 21, the entire 6th Grade class took a field trip to the California Science Center to explore the King Tut exhibit. Classes have been studying Ancient Egypt and this hands-on experience was the perfect wrap-up to that unit. Students reported that their favorite part of the exhibit was seeing the jewelry and precious stones up close, the mini "worker" statues that were found in King Tut's coffin, and his actual sarcophagus. It was a wonderful experience for all 411 students and chaperones!

Coding and Robotics Competition

Huntington Beach City School District's GATE Parent Organization is hosting a coding and robotics competition. This competition is open to all students. Please see the attached flier for more information. It would be great to have a large Dwyer representation!
