McCrossin Named Head Boys Basketball Coach

This week athletic director Shane Nixon (left) announced that Fife math teacher and coach Kevin McCrossin will be our next head boys basketball coach at Fife High School. Coach McCrossin has worked his way up the coaching ranks for the last 5 years serving as an assistant coach at both Sumner High and last year at FHS. This has been a dream job for Coach McCrossin all the way back to his playing days at Fife, where he helped propel the team his senior year to a deep playoff run in 2011 (pictured). Mr. McCrossin's father, John, was a former basketball coach, principal, and superintendent in Fife, it is not often that a coach gets to literally lead his team onto a court bearing his last name, which is a truly special circumstance for all of us--but especially for Mr. McCrossin!

Coach McCrossin has big shoes to fill, replacing Hall of Fame Coach Mark Schelbert, who led the Trojans for over two decades with unprecedented success at FHS. Thank you Coach Schelbert for your many years of service to Fife basketball and for your role in preparing our next coach!

We look forward to a bright future for FHS basketball!
