First CRC Weekly
June 6 - June 12
Our Mission: To Glorify God by making More and Better Disciples
From the Office
Welcome to this week's CRC newsletter! Here you will find time-sensitive announcements, events, service schedules, offering schedules, and prayer list. I will send these out at the end of each week.
I’m really excited to be joining the staff as the Church Office Administrator. My husband Frank and I have 3 children, Ashlyn (18), Alana (14) and Aiden (11). We spend most of our free time watching the three of them play various sports. Prior to accepting this position, I worked at Wilson Middle School as the Athletics Director\Campus Supervisor. I hope that over the course of the next few months I get the chance to meet you all.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me directly.
Becky - Church Office Administrator
Are you receiving our First CRC Weekly via email? This will keep you up to date on what is just ahead. If you would like to be added to our email list please contact me.
As mentioned last week, we will be adding the "offering" portion back into our liturgy beginning this Sunday. In an effort to facilitate thoughtful and prayerful gifts to the church and kingdom, the deacons will be letting us know the "special" offering schedule as soon as possible. By all means please continue to utilize the "on-line" giving option if that has proven to be useful to you. It's the best way to keep records for us all. Thank you for all the generous gifts received throughout this difficult time. God is good.
Hanford CRC Podcast!
Why Podcast? Podcasts give you the ability to listen anywhere without having to worry about your internet connection, or using too much data. Listen in the car, at the gym, or while you're out working on the farm, ranch, or dairy. Simply put, podcasts are easily accessible and portable so you have the freedom to tune in anytime from anywhere. Pretty cool, huh?
Council of Delegates Meeting
Front Lawn Renovation Project
The plans are now under review by the City of Hanford. Once the site plan review process is complete, the next step will be the issuing of building permits. We received several positive comments about the design and a few concerns as well. The most common concern centered on the "depth" of the water in the fountains. The water will be no more than 8 inches deep and there will be a "grate" system to prevent anyone from actually getting into the fountain.
Back-Packs for Monroe Elementary
Dear Church Family,
Thank you so much for your kind expressions of sympathy in the recent passing of our Mom and Oma, Rena de Jong. Whether you sent a card or a text or just stopped to give one of us a hug, we appreciated it all! We will miss our Mom and Oma but feel so blessed to have had her! The de Jong, de Haan, Carpenter and Bergman Families.
Crossroads pregnancy center baby bottle fundraiser
The baby bottle campaign is used to fund the Center's programs that help women and men faced with an unplanned pregnancy and other services. Please pick up a bottle and fill with coins, cash or check and return the bottle to church by Father's Day, June 20. Thank you for providing the support that will save and change lives!
