Class Placements and Re-Assignments

Due to declining enrollment throughout Santa Rosa City Schools, we needed to realign our staffing allocations. We are not the only school in our district that is being asked to do this. At Steele Lane,we were overstaffed. Ms. Matteson will be leaving our school to take a Kindergarten position at Hidden Valley, and Mr.Godberg will be a district TOSA supporting technology integration. We wish both of them well on their new assignment. That shift in staffing assignments has created 3 combination classes as well as a vacancy in first grade. The teaching staff and I have worked together to make the best decisions for our students at Steele Lane. Below you will see our new staffing assignments as well as the teacher's e-mail addresses. We know that changing classes is not an ideal situation but please allow us some grace as we make this transition. If this affects your students your current teacher will be communicating that to you as well as transitioning out of their current position. Then your New teacher will also be reaching out to you and your student and they will begin with their new teacher on Thursday, August 27th. I appreciate your understanding and patience through this process.

Thank you,

Mrs. Williams
