State Testing Starts This Monday!!
Testing will be 5/9 - 5/26!
During Testing: Tuesdays will be Regular Schedule & Fridays will be Late Start
3 REGULAR SCHEDULE TUESDAYS for testing: 5/10, 5/17 & 5/24
3 LATE START FRIDAYS for testing: 5/13, 5/20 & 5/27
To help your child do the very best they can on the test, here are some Great Testing Tips!
Be present. Please make sure your child is at school every day and on time for testing. If you must remove your child from school please avoid appointments from 10:00 to 1:00 Monday through Thursday.
Be ready. Please make sure your child gets a good night's sleep and has a healthy breakfast. Keeping the body and mind in good working order is essential for your child to function at their highest level.
Be Positive. Please help us support us in communicating that testing is important and that they should try their best every day.
Be prepared. Dress in appropriate but comfortable clothing (Still no pajamas), a water bottle, their regular school work and books, and bring a pair of headphones or earbuds but no wireless devices (or use our classroom sets).

Phone Usage
There has been an unacceptable increase in people using their phones against the CMS phone policy. Video and pictures are NEVER allowed and phones are not to be used during class time without teacher permission in or outside of class. Phones will be banned school wide if this continues.

We're excited to invite everyone to Casimir's Amazing Spring Open House on 5/31 where you will have an opportunity to visit your child's classes and see some of the wonderful accomplishments that your child has been working on in each of their classes. Class Spirit Competition
This is the LAST quarter for the class colors competition. Let's keep the spirit going on strong! The winning class will win a Yogurtland party!
The top three classes with the most school spirit are Hollon, Rice, and Lee! June 3 is the last day for class counting.

CombatBot Battle and Lego Obstacle Course Competition

Quick Guide to Reporting Student Absences
Reporting student absences has always been important but even more so now with students back at school with COVID-19 protocols being in place. If/When your student is absent please notify us via email by sending an absence note with the following information to esqueda.jessica@tusd.org
Absence Notes should include:
1. Date
2. Name of your Child
3. Date of absence
4. Reason for absence (if out due to illness please specify what symptoms your child is having)
5. Parent/Guardian Name & Relationship (absence notes can only be accepted from Primary Guardians listed in PowerSchool)
6. Phone Number where you can be reached

Reminder about Dress Code
Reminder - All students must follow the school dress code. In part, shirts must cover the midriff and shoulders, you may not have wallet chains, and baseball caps must be worn forward. Please see your Student Planner for the complete dress code.
