History in the Hills - Week #2
This week is the second week of our district learning project entitled History In the Hills. I have heard rave reviews about this new project from OES families and other families around the district. We would love to see what you are doing for your projects. If you would like to have us share your work on our Facebook page and website as inspiration for others, please email c.merrill@msad17.org or principal.oxford@msad17.org.

Virtual Summer Camp Options - A note from Ms. Lundberg
Our guidance counselor, Ms. Lundberg, works all year investigating ways to get as many students as we can to summer camp. We know that families rely on summer camps as a way to fill their students’ days with engaging and educational activities. Since it is still unclear if or when summer camps will be able to open in person, Ms. Lundberg found this option that she wanted me to share with families.
Varsity Tutors is here to help with Virtual Summer Camps—free online summer camps for students ages 5-18. Check out the link below to see what is currently being offered. New camps are added almost daily.
Talking Math with Your Kids
Mrs. Dailey, our OES math coach, recently shared this blog with me called Talking Math with Your Kids. It is a great resource for parents who are looking for help when talking to their children at home about their math. You can search the blog posts by subjects such as measurement, geometry, or algebra or you can browse previous blog posts, sign up for the newsletter and learn about math books and games you and your child might enjoy.
