American revolution
In the 1770's, the first continental congress was organized by the colonies, it was to counteract. They met in Philadelphia in September 1774. The fighting started in April 1775 between the colonist and the British army. After a year the decision was made for the colonist to declare independents from the British empire after the fighting in Lexington and conquer. Before the revolution there was the seven years war. Maria Theresa rebuilt her army while also separating Prussia from France.
Prevention of war
One way Britain could have prevented going to war is instead of the British leaders getting new revenues from the colonies they could have found a different way to get the money.
If the parliament had not forced the stamp act on the colonies, the people wouldn't have gotten violent. When the act was repealed there was still a dispute, but if the parlement hadn't forced it then there wouldn't be so much conflict.
Losing to the colonies
Losing to the colonies made Britin lose there pride, and they stopped being rude to the people in the colonies.
After Britian lost to the colonies they stopped trying to force things like laws on the people of the colony
