Transportation Information
Due to current staffing shortages, TTSD’s bus company, Student Transportation of America (STA), expects some bus routes will experience delays at the beginning of the school year. Please be sure your contact information is updated and watch for transportation alerts if there is a delay to your student’s route.
To update your contact information, please contact your school office. Also, please help us spread the word. Bus driver positions are available. This is a great opportunity with schedules that work well for families with school-aged children.
October is National Farm to School Month
KOIN 6 News highlighted some of the new menu items being offered to TTSD students from local farmers and vendors this Wednesday at Tualatin Elementary. Students were able to try the natural beef burger patty from Painted Hills Beef, a hazelnut butter and Marion berry sandwich with nut butter from Laurel Foods and jam from Oregon Growers. Fresh fruit is also offered during lunch from local farmer AJ Orchards.

Second Home - You Can Help
Did you know that you can have a huge impact on an unaccompanied high-school student’s life by hosting them? We have TTSD students not living with a parent or guardian and experiencing housing instability. With the support and structure of Second Home, a student and host co-create a rental agreement to give a foundation to a shared living arrangement. Hosts do not take on parenting responsibilities, but rather are present in a student’s life as a caring adult. Second Home is hosting Zoom info sessions on October 13 and Nov. 10, 12-1 and 6-7pm. Please contact Maria Mendez with any questions: mmendez@emoregon.org. Or just hop on the Zoom https://us02web.zoom.us/j/8547276194
We hope to see you there!
