  • THIS CAUSED THE FIRST TEXAS REVOLUTION.
  • THE TEXANS CHALLENGED THE MEXICAN TROOPS AT GONZALEZ BY ATTEMPTING TO MAKE ARMS.

"THE GRASS FIGHT"

  • THERE WAS A SKIRMISH THAT WAS CALLED; "THE GRASS FIGHT" BECAUSE THE MULE TEAM WAS CARRYING GRASS.
  • THE SCOUTS THOUGHT THAT IT WOULD BE GOLD BUT IT TURNED OUT TO BE GRASS SO THATS HOW IT GOT ITS NAME.
