EduTech Instructional Training has gone online!


EduTech Instructional Technology Department offers technology training for teachers, administrators, clerical staff and any others who need to be skilled in the use of computers and peripherals. Instructional Technology Specialists can also offer a variety of services to help teachers integrate technology into the curriculum.


EduTech Training will now be using My Learning Plan to register all participants for Training Workshops and Events.

Instructional Training Offerings - Webinars

Quizlet: Learning Tools and Flashcards

Quizlet makes simple learning tools that let your students study anything. This Webinar will show you how to create flashcards, games and learning tools. This webinar will be using the free version of Quizlet.

Using Quizizz for Formative Assessments

This learning tool allows teachers to create free gamified quizzes for every subject for students to play in class and at home. Teachers can pick an existing quiz or create their own for review, formative assessment, and more.

Using EdPuzzle for Formative Assessments

EDpuzzle is an easy-to-use video platform that helps teachers save time, boost classroom engagement and improve student learning through video lessons. EDpuzzle also collects data as students watch and interact with the video and it is free!

Create & Grade Quizzes with Google Forms

Google Forms can be used to assess students' understanding with automatic grading tools. Teachers specify correct answers, points, and give feedback for correct and incorrect responses. Summery reports are generated for easy assessment of learning.

Google Classroom: Organization & Extensions

This session will focus on using “Topics” within Google Classroom to help students and parents better navigate assignments and resources for your courses. We will also explore extensions to enhance functionality in Google Classroom.

Manage Teaching and Learning with Google Classroom

This session will show teachers how to simplify creating, distributing, and grading assignments in a paperless way. The primary purpose of Google Classroom is to streamline the process of sharing files between teachers and students.

Hybrid Webinars

Exploring Nearpod for Interactive Lessons

This webinar will be divided into 3 one hour sessions; the first session being a teach piece followed with an asynchronous hour for teachers to create a lesson. The third session will bring us back together to share Nearpod lessons and ideas.

Flip Instruction with Screencasting & Virtual Meetings

This webinar will be divided into 4 one hour sessions; the first and third sessions being a synchronous teach piece followed with 2 asynchronous hours for teachers to create.

AccelerateU

AccelerateU is a service of Edutech that offers online courses for NYS secondary students. Our online courses are fully web-based and available to students at any time. They are led by certified teachers. AccelerateU meets NYSED Part 100.5 (Diploma Requirements) requirements for online courses. We serve students of all abilities in many situations - kids who are recovering credit, accelerating, traveling, homebound, medically fragile, with special situations, and with IEP's and 504 plans.

These information sessions will illustrate AccelerateU's program and its uses, highlight best practices in supporting online learners, and answer questions. In addition to these information sessions, we are happy to visit your district.
