Hobby Family,


As you are aware, early voting on the NISD Bond begins this Monday, April 25 - Tuesday, May 3 at the following locations. Northside is committed to ensuring aging facilities are brought to current District standards, and this bond reflects this commitment. Major elements in the school bond include work at existing facilities such as renovation, reconstruction, infrastructure improvements, roofing and waterproofing, technology, student safety and security, and transportation. In addition, one new elementary school is included.(See the complete list here)

Univeristy of Texas at San Antonio

Summer Programs will include science, engineering, architecture, sports, music, writing and language and culture camps for kids, teens and adults. Eureka! Program

Hawk Families with a current 7th grade daughter. If your daugther is interested STEM then the following information is for you.

The Eureka! Program is a five-year summer and school-year program for girls interested in STEM, leadership and college & career readiness. The Eureka! Program supports girls beginning in the 8th grade through high school graduation, preparing them for the next step in their education after high school. Girls build networks and friendships with girls across San Antonio and explore different career interests and build life skills. If this is an opportunity that you are interested in please have your daughter speak with their current 7th grade math or science teacher and see the following link.

Notes from the Nurse

6th grade students please start sending in your shot records! One TDAP and one MCV4 is required for 7th grade. **7th graders will not receive schedules for next year if they are delinquent.
