If you need support with translation, be sure you have filled in THIS document. It's an essential services and we're doing everything we can to offer this service. If you need something and don't see it available, please reach out to us so we can work together to address the need.

We need one grade-level representative (TK-5th) to perform 5 hours of adjunct this year. If you recall, we signed up for a 10-hour job and a 5-hour job to add up to the contractually required 15 hour adjunct hours total. Below are the current members who signed up; if your grade level is missing a name, please be sure to calibrate and let me know who will be supporting Social Committee from your team this year. It is a minor commitment that goes a long way in continuing the important traditions and celebrations that are so important to our Rio Vista Family.

We will celebrate a Thanksgiving Potluck together on Tuesday, 11/15. Lunch will be one hour from 11:30-12:30, allowing us all to spend time together. A detailed schedule will be emailed out as well, but please be sure to extend gratitude to our Noon Duty Supervisors who will work creatively to help make this possible!

Ed. Services is sending a support team on Tuesday morning from 8:30-11:30am to work with Rio teachers on adding knowledge about TWIG Science. Each grade level can send one teacher for a 30 minute window to work on any of the following:

• Unpacking physical kits and materials

• Support prepping materials for lessons

• Support planning lessons (specify which module)

• Overview of a specific module (specify which one)

Thank you to everyone who was able to attend our first training on how to use the new TVs that will replace your Promethean boards over the next month or so.

**Please make sure you have removed any lighting or decorations around your Promethean Board so that it can be removed without damaging your items**

Here are some other important reminders:

• 10 rooms will be completed every Saturday from October 29th until Thanksgiving Break
• Each Monday after the new installation, there will be several IT support staff on campus to troubleshoot as needed
• Tessa is offering to provide a "crash course" 20-minute training at a mutually convenient time if that's better for you

We have seen increased support from PTA volunteers, which is great! But some of you have expressed concern about the use of the copy machine in the work room.

I have asked our volunteers to defer to teachers during the school day because you need to be able to take care of that during your release time.

They also wanted to make sure that you knew that any teacher can leave what you need copied in their PTA tray with instructions, and they will make them and deliver them to you!

As you feel the weight of the first trimester coming to an end, remember that what you do is some of the most important work that any person can do. As you welcome parents and guardians this week, remember how important their support and partnership is. They trust us as professionals and share our hopes for the absolute best for their children.
