Classroom Happenings
ELA- Mr. Jones
Today officially ended our Realistic Fiction Unit with our Publishing Party. It seems kids had fun. It’s good to have that every once in awhile, especially when they work hard throughout the unit. Feel free to ask your student to see their finished story if you haven’t seen it. Our next unit will be Non-Fiction and students will be in book clubs as we explore a number of topics that affect our everyday lives in some way. Hopefully, students accomplished the goal of three books in October. If not, just give it another shot in November.
My October Blog “Me, the Introvert?” is available here.
Science- Mrs. Creath
This past week students took a summative test over eclipses and seasons.
Our pumpkin drop has been moved to Monday, November 4th. Later next week we will begin a project about the challenges of getting people to Mars. Students will be choosing a challenge to research and will build a prototype of something that could help solve this problem!
