Expectations of Teaching
What to Expect When Your Expecting to Teach
What to think when signing up for Special Needs!
There are so many wonderful thing to expect when signing up to teach children with Special Needs. The best place to begin exploring is in the classroom. This course is designed to give us information on special needs students, and the best way to handle and teach students with tools tailored for hem. While taking this course, I am hoping to gain knowledge on the different special needs that will be seen in the classroom. I was previously a Special Needs Para, so I have had some wonderful experience in this field of study. After three years of working with students of various learning disabilities, I have grown to love the way in which these children learn.
My Journey to Success.....
During my studies, I plan to get the most information available while taking this class. I plan to study and ask questions as need be. I also plan on working with my classmates to gather thoughts on how to be the best teacher, as well as creative ideas to help in the classroom. I plan on being a teacher that is 100% devoted to teaching my future students to the best of my ability. I will use interactive ways of teaching to enhance the learning process. As a student, I plan to stay dedicated to my dream of being a teacher. I am a dedicated student who wants to take in all information around me. The excitement I have being a student, and the passion I hold to teach, will greatly influence my teaching. I am dedicated to becoming the teacher that anyone would want their children to learn from.
One of my favorite qoutes by Dr. Suess
You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You're on your own, and you know what you know. And you are the guy who'll decide where you go. - Dr. Suess
My Personal Struggles
While taking this class, I am being pushed out of my comfort zone, and made to be comfortable speaking in front of a large group. This will continue to be my greatest struggle, but it is the one aspect that is going to make me more comfortable, as well as a better teacher. I may struggle through some of the lessons, but I will not give up!
