SacramentoPRAYS
Uniting people to pray in the Greater Sacramento Region.
Heart to Heart
"I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." Phippians 3:14
Last month SacramentoPRAYS reached a new benchmark: the launching of the website, the new newsletter (s'more), and a new organizational structure. Hallelujah! With this has come lots of rejoicing and a few bumps and bruises. The mission of SacramentoPRAYS is to highlight and grow what already exists in our region, and to fill in only what is missing. As a result, on our website and in our newsletters you will find a lot of information about what is available in the region. Please note that while very few of these are actual SacramentoPRAYS events, we deeply seek the Lord's leading as to events that will be catalysts for regional unification in prayer.
Occasionally, we are going to get it wrong. In a recent newsletter, we highlighted an event that turned out to be controversial for some who attended. While many people in our region have been and continue to be richly blessed by the speaker from that night, others had some valid areas of concern. For those of you who expressed concern, please accept my personal apology, as I am the one who authorized highlighting the event. It has given us cause to reflect and set up better procedures for accepting calendar promotion requests and reviewing them.
I am requesting your prayer for the SacramentoPRAYS Council and staff members for wisdom, knowledge and understanding with the website and newsletter. Each of you represents a beautiful part of the prayer shawl over this region, which is accentuated by the uniqueness that makes you who you are. The battle wages on over our diversity. Yet where evil abounds, grace abounds all the more! May we excel in grace! Thank you:)
In the relentless love of Jesus Christ for His Body,
Judy Trent-Whitnack

Mt. Hazel: Nations Rally for Peace
When - 8:30-11:30 am
Where - the 8:30-9:30 walk begins at the corner of Hazel/Madison. The 9:30 - 11:30 am Rally meets on the Hazel bluff overlooking the Natomas Damn. Entrance is on the north side of the Hazel Bridge. Parking permit required to park on the premises.
As this time of desperate conditions for our brothers and sisters in the Middle East, God had already scheduled a worship and prayer rally for peace this Saturday, September 13. With an emphasis on "Arise, Shine" from Isaiah 60:1, and "Love your enemies" from Matthew 5:44, Pastor Khadijeh Baratzadeh invites you to join her in passionately and zealously petitioning The Lord God Almighty on behalf of the nations; the persecuted church; and those individuals caught in the stronghold of Islam. Pastor Khadijeh herself has a tremendous testimony of how Christ saved her from Islam and communism, and brought her to abundant life in Jesus Christ. Check out the details above!
