Looking For Textbooks

There are still some textbooks and library books out from last year! Please turn them in at the school nearest to you, and the librarian will send them to me. We are missing Chemistry, Precalculus, WHAP textbooks, and APUSH textbooks. Student library accounts can be accessed by clicking on Library Resources and choosing Find Books. You will be able to see Items Out, Status, and other options in the banner across the top. Contact Mrs. Brown at valarie_brown@beaverton.k12.or.us, or call the Main Office between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm and ask for the Library if you have any questions.

ACT Day Cancelled for Spring

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, BSD has informed all the schools that ACT Day originally planned for this Spring has been cancelled. The current plan is for an alternative Fall administration will be done for at the very least this year's Juniors (next year Seniors). When this will be and what it will look like it still very much in the air, however, and when we know more, we will share more. In the meantime, if you are a student who is adamament about taking the ACT this Spring, you are encouraged to www.act.org and look at registering for a test through them*. The next deadline to register is March 12th.

*Note: Registering to take the ACT test through an organization other than BSD means you are doing so at your expense. Students will still be offered the ACT free of charge next Fall at ACMA.

Other Testing Updates

As of the time of this writing, state testing is still technically on the books but is likely to be cancelled soon. The ELPA test is also still technically required for students who are English Language Learners, but its fate is even more unclear. Regarding AP tests, they are likely to be administered the same way they were last year during COVID-19, which is online at home.

If you have any questions please reach out to Mr. Roberts at matthew_roberts@beaverton.k12.or.us

Free COVID-19 Testing for Students

Students within the Beaverton School District have new access to COVID-19 testing. Every Tuesday, the Merlo Station High School-Based Health Center provides COVID-19 testing free of charge. Students do not need to have health insurance either.

Address: Merlo School-based Health Clinic 1841 SW Merlo Dr Beaverton,OR 97003

Call (503) 356-3650 for an appointment.

The health center says that an appointment needs to be made before students arrive, and this testing is only available for BSD students who are experiencing symptoms and are between the ages of 12 to 18. Neighborhood Health Center runs the health center within Merlo High School and says testing is done quickly and easily.

Students just need to drive up to the site and the will perform a self-swab test in their car. They can then wait at the school for 15 minutes for the results, drive home, and wait to receive a phone call when the results are ready.

Senior Yearbook Photo - Submission Guidelines - Form Below

ACMA Yearbook staff welcomes Senior submissions for the ‘20-‘21yearbook. You (or your photographer) should plan to submit one digital copy of your senior photo, baby photo, and your quote by Sunday, February 28, 2021. This is a firm deadline determined by printing dates; failure to meet deadlines risks hundreds of dollars in late fees for our program. For this reason, seniors who’ve not submitted requested items by the due date will not have such items included in the yearbook.Seniors with out a senior photo submission will have their Dorian photo featured in the Yearbook if one is on file.

Yearbook Sales

Don't miss out! Like everything else this school year, the opportunity to purchase a yearbook looks a little bit different. This year, yearbooks can be purchased through the office or through the online district payment system at a set price of $50. Books WILL SELL OUT. Please do not wait until the last minute to buy a book or there will not be one for you to purchase.
