Jaguar Journal is your student produced monthly guide to what's happening at GIVE Center East.
New Teacher Spotlight
Mr. Ibao began his journey of teaching because he believed that education was the best way to make an impact on someone's life. The best part about his job is that he gets to work with students. Before coming to GIVE East, Mr. Ibao worked at the United Nations refugee program. He has also taught in Japan, and England before coming to the U.S. Before even coming to Georgia, he taught at a school in Texas. The challenges he believes our youth faces today is not having enough time. He loves cooking and has taught his students how to make sushi. He feels very welcomed here at GIVE, “everyone wants to help you and get to know you” he says. He is this year's literacy coach, wanting to further develop his students writing skills.
