FCE Counselor Newsletter
4th Quarter 2021-2022
Personalized Counseling continues for students! Remember, this year I'm meeting with each student through individual meetings. This is a special time for students to tell me about themselves, their strengths, and their goals for the future.

No Place for Hate
Grade levels Kinder-2nd grade reviewed over feeling cards and shared scenarios of what could have happened to make someone feel that way. Third-fifth grade discussed different scenarios that students may experience and shared how they would look like or how they would feel if that happened to them. For example: You reached out to hug someone who turned away.
Individual Personalized Counseling for ALL students
I am excited to share that I have met with ALL 5th, 3rd, and 2nd grade students for their annual One-on-One meeting with the School Counselor. I feel so fortunate to get to work for a district that values our students' mental health and social-emotional well-being. One way that Humble ISD ensures ALL students have access to their school counselor is for me to meet with EVERY student at Fall Creek Elementary to get to know them individually.
I ask them things they like to do, things they think they are good at, what they want to be when they grow up along with some additional get to know you type questions. This helps me form a personal relationship with your student. It also helps students get to know me better; so they know they always have a trusted adult who will always be on their side. My goal is to make sure our Cardinals are Happy, Healthy and Safe.
