BLESSING BOX DONATION UPDATE!

Listed below are the special dress days for CSW 2019. On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday students are asked to bring a donation to earn the privilege of dressing in the day's attire. If you are unable to provide the item listed, the Senior High Student Board has set the following as an alternative for the item donation:

  • Full Week: St. Joe's Campus: $5 for all 4 Days--must be paid on Monday
  • Individual Days: HS Campus $3 per day
  • Individual Days: St. Joe's Campus $1 per day

WEATHER WATCH: We are aware of the impending weather forecast for the coming week. Please be sure to connected to our alert systems in case of changes due to weather. Click here if you need to connect with us.

Each year, Aquin celebrates Catholic Schools Week. This year, our celebration kicks off on Sunday, January 27 and extends through Saturday, February 2. We invite all of our students, families, staff, alumni and supporters to join us as we 'Escape the Ordinary' to learn, serve, lead and succeed!

At Aquin, we strive to 'escape the ordinary' every day . . . in our teachings, in our actions, in our choices, in our lives. CSW is a time to celebrate those efforts and focus on what Catholic Schools provide each of us.

Sunday

START YOUR WEEK WITH JESUS!

Charge up (or change up) your Sunday routine and spend part of your day at St. Thomas. We have 2 activities planned at our largest supporting parish--and we hope you can start the week with us.

12 Hours of Aquin Adoration

St. Thomas Aquinas parish invites you to their 'Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Adoration Chapel' that is open every day from 9am-9pm. At least one Aquin Senior High Student Board member will be present for every hour that the chapel is open on Sunday, January 27. We invite you to join them for 1 hour on this day. You don't need to be Catholic to pray in the presence of our Lord. You just have to have an open heart to receive the love of Jesus.

Please click here to sign-up for your hour of Adoration.

Aquin Family Mass at 10:30

As we gather together for Mass, we invite you to join us in the many volunteer roles in the church. We need greeters, ushers, altar servers, lectors, eucharistic ministers and musicians. No experience is necessary, we will help prepare you for your role. Again, you don't need to be Catholic to fill any of the volunteer roles for Mass (except for Eucharistic Minister). All are invited to help us spread the joy of Aquin Schools to the parishioners of one of supporting parishes.

Please click here to volunteer to participate in Mass.

Aquin's Blessing Box

Throughout Catholic Schools Week, Aquin will be collecting donations for an 'Aquin Blessing Box' which will be constructed and installed on the Aquin High School Campus this Spring. A 'Blessing Box' is a small free 'pantry' of non-perishable items for those who are in need. Aquin's Blessing Box will contain 3 sections: Food Items, Hygiene Items, Clothing Items. (An example of a blessing box is shown on the right.)

The Aquin students and staff will regulate and maintain this box, but will also accept donations to keep the box supplied year-round. To get this project started, we will have 4 collection days during Catholic Schools Week (Wednesday is a dress-up day so no collection will be taken). To earn the privilege of dressing in the day's themes, each student should bring the donation to their homeroom or 1st period teacher on that day.
