Greetings from Your Counselors!

Parents - check the FHS website, as we will post items under the School Counseling tab from time to time. We are working from home, but are only an email away!

FHS Course Registration Updates

As some of you are aware, we met one on one with and registered about half of our student population for 20-21 courses before schools were closed due to COVID-19. Last week, we collected the remainder of the registration cards for students we have not yet met with. Those course selections will be keyed into PowerSchool. If we have questions about those selections, or if the cards are incomplete, we will contact you via GCS email. If you have your card at home, you may scan it to us, or email a picture of it to us. After those are keyed in, students who still need to choose course selections will be emailed and given the opportunity to make course choices. This will help us meet our registration deadlines. Thank you for your help!

College and Career Promise

Gaston College is working to provide online registration for their Fall 2020 College and Career Promise courses. We will let you know as soon as we get that information. Check your GCS email and the FHS School Counseling website often!

Help Us Help You!

As counselors, we are always looking for the best ways to meet the needs of our students. Students, please take a few minutes to complete our 2020 Needs Assessment. This will help us plan for the 2020-2021 school year. Thank you!
